The Franciscan Center in Baltimore recently hosted an event at The Shrine of Saint Anthony in Ellicott City, MD to benefit the Franciscan Center and their mutual partner Little Portion Farm Ministry. Did you know the Franciscan Center feeds over 500 people in Baltimore everyday? The Little Portion Farm Ministry donates all of the food it grows to the Franciscan Center AND it is a ministry of the Franciscan Friars who live at The Shrine at Saint Anthony. Another great example of Serving Others.
The Franciscan Center is trying to collect 1,000 pairs of socks for their Christmas celebration – you can help them reach their goal by purchasing and donating new socks HERE
Fr. James Boric has started a new ministry at the Baltimore Basilica to help those in need and we have partnered up with him to make a difference! Initiated in 2018 as an attempt to revitalize an inner-city Parish, Source of All Hope has blossomed into a full-fledged Missionary Program aimed at bringing Jesus Christ, through the Sacraments of the Catholic Church, to Baltimore City. The Source of All Hope sends out missionaries two-by-two, the Missionaries walk the same streets of Baltimore each day getting to know the homeless and the addicted as well as those who simply don’t know Christ. They seek to offer assistance by showing them the organizations that can help with shelter, food, job training and healthcare. The Missionaries will love them in the name of Jesus Christ and the Basilica community. This is Serving Others! Meet Colin Miller and Nathaniel Belk, the first two missionaries to work with Father James. If you are interested in learning more about the Source of All Hope click HERE
